Mission Statement
The Thurston County Progressive Network is a communication and support network serving progressive individuals, businesses and organizations as we work together toward a just, democratic, sustainable and humane society.
Goals and Objectives
Goals
The TC Pro-Net interim coordinating committee has established the following initial goals:
- Build solidarity among progressives through:
- providing a list of groups, businesses and individuals, who are working for the values mentioned above and below
- creating opportunities for members of organizations to share trainings, workshops, and mutual support
- encouraging members to form coalitions on issues common to several groups (e.g. media reform, clean elections, environmental protection)
- Coordinate group communications and activities through:
- providing a comprehensive calendar of activities and events
- creating shared web and e-mail based tools for communicating, scheduling, planning, brainstorming and producing events
- supporting community-wide response to events
- Promote civic involvement through:
- supporting member organizations' meetings, events and activities
- promoting public events to increase citizen participation
- encouraging individuals to participate in community organizations
