Create an Action Alert

Description:
Action Alerts show as bold dates on the mini-calendar in the right column, and show as separate items on the main calendar (View Calendar), just like regular calendar events. They also show up in a list when you click Action Alerts from the Site Tools menu on the left. The basic information for action alert is the title, date, and description.
Step by Step:
1) On the left menu, click on Action Alert under the "create content" menu
2) Fill out the appropriate information (see below)
3) click Preview button at the bottom
4) If the preview looks correct, just scroll to the bottom and click Submit.
What information am I adding?
Field | Description |

Title | This is what shows in the monthly calendar and on the Action Alert list as the name of your alert |
Type | What type of event is this? See organizing content for details |
Description | This is the full description of the event. This shows when users click to see the event details |
Start/End | the starting and ending date/time of this event |
Location | Enter address informatin if available. This will allow users to search for you event by zip code. Note that, depending on your internet browser, the labels might be lined up incorrectly. If it is confusing, start by entering the state which is the popup menu, then work your way backword (city, address, etc)/td> |
