One-day (Saturday) workshop in Olympia: "Enhancing the Power of citizens Over the Power of Money in Politics."

Post election Gathering to discuss common ways we will benefit from fixing our broken democracy. United on this issue, we can more easily achieve our various goals as citizens and citizen-based organizations.

Do you wonder what corporate money in politics has to do with the Erosion of our Pillars of Democracy--campaigns, elections, media and education; Environmental Destruction, War, loss of security, unfair taxes, inequities for Workers, and Erosion of Community, to name a few?

At this workshop you will:
1. Grapple with corporate power over government and corruption of democracy. Experts Nancy Price, Jan Edwards, and Jacqui Brown Miller will offer strategies.
2. Gain a deeper undertanding of more effective tools for change (is your organization stuck in reaching its goals, or not moving as quickly as needed?)
3. Question basic assuptions, deepen understanding, and sharpen the focus of your activism.
4. Find common bonds and strengths between activists on many issue areas.
