Nearly all of us are triggered by something, and when we are, we can easily revert to thinking and acting in ways that we later regret. In this workshop Suska Davis, Ph.D., engages you in a close look at the phenomenon of anger and other emotional triggers. By utilizing the principles and methods of NVC participants explore and practice how to respond consciously and constructively when either they feel angry or triggered in some way or the person they are interacting with appears to be so. The more quickly we can connect with the need underlying those feelings, the quicker they can be transformed into something that connects us with the other person and creates an opportunity for that need to be fulfilled. Suska also takes a look at in-the-moment strategies for tense situations when we or others feel triggered.
