The Olympia Planned Parenthood needs our support on Tuesday, January 22 from 2:30pm-4:30pm. Organizers from the "March for Life" are planning to protest the Olympia Planned Parenthood clinic and we need to show our support for our patients and staff.
Susan Wicklund, National NOW Board Member and Abortion Doctor, will be at Orca Books on February 13th, 2008 at 7:00pm reading from her new book "This Common Secret: My Journey as An Abortion Doctor". Through this book tour Dr. Wicklund hopes to educate and widen the participation of diverse women and the men who love us around women’s health issues and especially the politics of reproduction/abortion in the current social and political landscape.
Saturday, January 26th, The Olympia-Rafah Mural Project presents a full day of workshops led by a team of artists and community members for Olympia residents and artists. Workshops will focus on developing themes and design ideas for a mural to be painted in downtown Olympia later this year honoring connections between Olympia and the town of Rafah in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The mural will be an expression of a people's recognition of the Olympia-Rafah Sister City connection.
